i have never had one but i would like one. my dog dont get out too far yat and i dont know if she ever will i just like to know where my dogs are. so my question is, is there a tracking system out there that is similar to a garmin meaning is there one that will tell how far your dog is without having a 10 foot antenna and having to listen to it beep? cant really afford a garmin right now so im looking for cheaper alternatives at the moment

Dont take this as ugly, get an open mouth hound. I hunted with some as a kid and still love to listen to them. If they aint mine!

A garmin and collar is $400. Just save up. It has a 6" antenna. Sounds like your not gonna need the long range one
