when you take two purebreeds and cross them looking for certain traits, what are the chances of you getting what you want by keeping a couple of the pups? and even if you give the other pups to people that will work them to see if you have acomplised what you were looking for and the pups dont end up like you want where do you go from there, different lines of the same breed or what.

it can be achived, but it is much easier, cheeper, and better to go find the dogs, or pups that have the traits you are looking for.  Look for a proven line that have what you want, spend a little money, and it will be much cheeper than trial and error.
