Well man I wouldn't get out. I got a friend that only has 2 dogs strike and his catch dog and he produce pork just fine. His strike dog will stop a runner and bay loose when pig is stopped. The ideal is to have alot of dogs but that's not always the case. Keep you a good strike/stop dog and a catch dog you'll do fine

Watched everybody sell out in the 90's with the downfall of the pen era. Cant say it was all that bad. For several years hunting was great cause nobody but a handful of folks stayed with it. Now we have the new realization of an old sport and everybody is goin out and getting dogs before they realize what's involved.  My advice is if you are serious enough to stay with it you will find a way to balance it out and keep your dogs. If not sell them and get all the way out so you dont go to missing it and have regrets later.

Good luck either way bud.
