Just my opinion! I would only breed your best female to your best male. How many dogs do you need? It is real easy to get to many dogs. You can line breed pups out of both litters from your best strike dog down the road if you want. Just remember that anytime you start tightening up on a particular breeding, you consolidate good genes and bad ones. This means that you could get a jam up dog but it now has health problems. The best way to breed is type to type. What i mean is breed your best dog to your best bitch. Keep the picks of the litter and cull the ones that don't work. Later on breed your best dog to your best bitch that is totally unrelated. If you do this for about 4-5 generations, you will produce a higher percentage of working dogs.
