I figured you all would like to see a family of Eagles that are in the field this morning (the young ones are not in the picture).

We kept seeing a huge brown bird that was mottled, he wad too big to be a hawk but then we seen its sibling who's head was turning white.

They are super leery of the truck but they are beautiful!

Most of them are buzzards, the babies were off by themselves for the longest time but I have never seen more than two at a time until now.

Funny you posted that.  I saw two bald eagles the other day around Reserve, LA while I was on a train.  I've never seen them that close before, but the buzzards were right beside them and seemed to be interacting with them.  One was a true bald eagle and the other was mottled and had a browner head, seemed like a mating pair to me.

 Cool pics. We see one flying over us every once in a blue moon where we hunt, but never seen one on the ground. Much less two or three! Thanks for sharing.  Smiley
