Your gonna find people like to hunt with different size blades. Me personally like at least a 7 inch blade. But the normal knife that I carry has 9 1/8 inch. Having a blade that long has it goods and bads. With a long blade your gonna get a good stick and hit more vital areas, but if its a smaller hog it has the chance to pass through and possibly hit a dog on the other side. Its up to what you want. I think theres a past post on here about pig stickers. You'll be able to see different knives folks on here use.

Go get you a winchester blade from Bass Pro or Walmart. They are like 25 bucks, and plenty to get the job done. I think that total length is 12" or close to it. It is a good wide blade with mass and gets the job done quick when put in the right place.

It's good to know that someone else had this problem. Bass Pro has a RedHead version of that blade that hasn't given any problem. I had one of mine do that, but haven't heard or had another one do the same. Maybe it's this batch that they put together. I'm gona call em and see if they will replace them... I'll let you know what I find out.

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat.
