CANCER.....
is a terrible disease amongst us today in time, I never really understood growing up as a boy why i seen people sick looking, bald, and even bedridden. It wasn't until I got older that I under stood anyone is prone to developing this horrid thing we are challenged to fight through. I once heard a preacher say cancer was given to people that were chosen by god as a warrior not as a sick person with no hope! I've lost several family members and friends to this illness that's mingers amongst us all and can change the ways people live their lifestyles . Through prayer and the fight to win you can accomplish anything you set out to succeed, no matter what you face in life's foggy path. I have a best friend that's stood beside me through it all which is also my little brother and sisters step dad, this man has been challenging melanoma cancer for 9 years just about. Hes went into remission and was told he wouldn't live longer than 6 months nine years ago. He has fought and fought until his fight is almost over. He's inspired many people to do right and change their lifestyles and the way they were living. He has councled people in the same conditions, men, women, and children as well to stay positive, fight, and always give thanks to the lord above! I would consider him one of the most influential people of my life and has certainly made me think about how I treat people, the way I should be treated, and the to do's and to dont's of everyday life. He is in M.D. Anderson in Houston Tx where he's made another family of believers and fighters that will do anything to help anyone! I'd like to thank the people of M.D. For the courage, honesty, and prayers they have provided the last nine years. There comes a time where must be called away and we are remembered by what we did and what kind of person we were, not the necessities we had in life. Benji's number is soon to be called and he will go away where I hope we will meet again when my roll number is called forth. I pray that whatever happens it happens in gods will and my family and friends are comforted and feel blessed to have met such a warrior sent from heaven above!

My mother died of Cancer its a horrible thing. I pray for him and I'm sure he will be welcomed with open arms by the Lord .

Thank you for that very inspiring post. We all take a lot of things for granted. It is a true blessing to meet a person of such faith.

That is something that I hate as well... Have lost loved ones to it as well, and it is never an easy thing. He'll have a place upstairs... and so will you one day. Keep your head up high, and celebrate his life. My prayers have been sent and my thoughts are with you and your family.

As the assistant pastor of our church here in Paris tx. We have a little saying, "sometimes you have to let go and let God", I will be praying for Gods will and strength and encouragement to the family and friends!
