Caskey, Red, Shawz and I made a hunt on valentine's day. We put the dogs out and within minutes we had a race on. The dogs ran a good boar hog down and bayed him just over a mile away. Caskey got there ahead of Red and me. The boar was backed up to a blow down root ball. Precious sealed the deal and Caskey stuck the hog, and the dogs rolled out. By the time we got there and pulled the boar out the muck, Stiker was bayed up 348 yards out.  First Boar 2" teeth Shawz and I get to within 75 yards, and we can see dogs flying. This hog also backed up to the root ball of a blow down. We cut Jackie loose, and went in behind her. Everytime I tried to leg him he would spin around and sit down. I ended up having to grab his tail and lifting until I could get a leg.  This boar whooped up on some dogs. Most of Caskey's bay dogs where full of pokes. One dog had a bad cut across his chest, and my Cookie dog had an artery cut in her leg.   |

Yall are lucky yall got public land to hunt. We don't have that here. You can run coon dogs and squirrel dogs on it but not hog dogs.
