Got a lot of rain this weekend. didnt look like we were going to be able to hunt but it was my buddies sons 7th birthday and all he wanted was to go hunting. I have a spot that is real sandy so we took off to it after the rain let up Sunday morning. Got on a group and had a split catch. All of us went to the bigger sounding squeal after dispatching the sow we were ready to head to the second one but the squealing had  stopped. We realized Brazos had went to the second one on his own and had already dispatched the small boar with his pocket knife. Needless to say his daddy was proud ! Shoot so was I ! He said it took a few sticks but he got it done... we didn't get any pictures of the sow because we were too excited about the boy !

Very cool.  I'm super glad it wasn't a bigger hog though.   Grin
