Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat. RAdm. "Jay" R. Stark, USN; 10 November 1995

lost his confidence I guess. I don't beat my dogs, but I would whoop one for hunting that close. Keep taking him out though, I'm sure he will turn back on!

Make sure he is trimmed down to hunting weight?
Make sure he ain't wormy.
And give him about 15 cc of BL if the other two are good.

BL..............Boot Leather............. HAHA, thats what I was thinking... If the Garmin will tell on him, a shock collar will punish him for that. I've got a dog that pulled that once. once...

I had a mtn cur like that...when he was a 10 month pup he could hunt with the good ones and he was always a hard hunting dog. Then at about 5 or 6 years he slowed down. lots of scars on him...but he still was a good strike doke...when the tail gate dropped he would leave out...if he came back in 5 minutes you could bet there weren't any hogs around. all the other dogs hunted and stayed busy and he just hung around. but when he left out you can bet he was going to strike first...he struck first most of the time...
maybe you have one of these types...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...
