I said it last time but this time I mean it. I'm probably never going to hunt the marsh again, Before 7 this morning I was covered from the chest down in stinkin mud and muck. That has to be the most miserable hunt a fella could go on. I ruined a digital camera and not sure if Laura is going to let me run my clothes thru the wash. The only good thing about the hunt is I got to see my new catch dog catch a couple hogs.

We got to the island by boat and then it was all walking and wading and sometimes even crawling.

Man, someone lied to you! Mud is perfectly fun as long as you aren't trying to get somewhere in a hurry - like to a bay. ;)I spent all weekend up to my gills in mud on my 4 wheeler at Hwy 90. It was too windy to hunt, so we grabbed a couple of cold Shiners and headed out to get dirty. I buried my wheeler deep in a hole full of mud the consistency of peanut butter. The ruts were waist deep. The floorboards were under mud and we couldn't see the trailer hitch. Had to dig around in the mud just to slip the tow strap on it. Another 4 wheeler couldn't pull it out, had to hitch two of them in tandem to move my stuck wheeler. It was pretty fun. I think you should re try the mud thing on a day when you aren't hunting. I think you may like it then.

That don't sound like fun... ![Sad](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I don't even like running through corn fiels when it is muddy. It gets all caked up on your boots. I trip and fall enough when it is dry trying to get to bays... dont need slick mud to help me. ![Cheesy](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Spray your self off with the water hose, go in the back door, strip down, leave you clothes in a pile for her, then head to the shower in all your manly glory.... the ol lady will love that. ![Wink](http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
