Here is what's going on....

My daughter bought a 6 week old boxer puppy. He was thin n I wasn't happy. He came from a lady that I thought was a friend of mine n his dad is the male boxer I raised n sold to her years ago. He's out of the last litter.

He just was not gaining weight. Diarrhea started n throwing up. He had parvovirus shot cuz I gave it to him. Wormed him religiously n had him on Albon. After 2 weeks I took him to vet. His coat is shiny, he's active n growing normally.

Vet brings up that he is clean of worms. His blood work showed signs of liver shunt. I wanted him tested for giardia. He was hot positive for giardia. After being on giardia meds n Albon for a week he was better. No diarrhea or throwing up. Got second week of giardia meds to make sure. Well.............. He was better until tonight. We get home from Houston Rodeo and he has diarrhea again. I noticed the bloody nasty diarrhea smell again. Runny brown nasty. I already have $400 into this puppy. He's now 4 months old. I really don't want to take him back to the vet so I am needing advice. Pretty sure it's not parvovirus n he's been on Albon so coccidiosis can't b it. Giardia should b cleared up too.

I'm at a loss. My so called friend that sold us the dog will not honor her sale. He had giardia when we got him. It's her fault. Anyways I need some help.

I had a pup die from corona virus a while back(mine was only 10 weeks old), but you should treat it as parvo, fluids lots of fluids, get you a tube of nutracal(it will give him nutrients he needs without upsetting his stomach) & lay off the food he will just continue to throw up! Also you can try pepto but not too much! Hope this helps!!!
