Found this one when me and my brother were feeding dogs today. The snake was 3 1/2 foot but still big enough to do some damage. My brother Will is holding him to show how big he is. The only good snake is a dead snake! Luckily none of the dogs were bit

The smaller ones are the deadliest. They havent learned how to control their venom.

Cats. Snakes will not deal with a cat around. If you don't like cats, then just find a local vet clinic and see if can pick up the used litter, then just sprinkle it around the outside of the kennels.

Snakes should have died with the dinasours. Im about to shut down my hunting a month early cause the snakes are out so bad. I probably wont actually shut down but I'll be scaning the ground and nervous the whole time. How many of you have been bit or nearly bit while hunting?

Goats really do work well. That's the first rattler I have seen by the house in probably 4 years and we got rid of the goats about 3 years ago. We have cats around and they are wild, might be crossed up with a bobcat or something but this was only 100 yards from the house. The snake had my catchdog debo hemmed up in the corner.

Ive always heard snakes wont cross lime, I know some people that run a heavy line around their kennels and have zero snake issues. It is supposed to really irratate their skin and they wont cross it.

Our buddy Ben was walking behind us in a line getting to a bay, and a cotton mouth bit his Snake Boot... just was kind of stuck there. LOL! Good think he had on those boots or it would have been bad. I'd suggest snke chaps to anyone hunting in Tx in the summer. Better to have and not need, than to need and not have. You know? JMO

I think it was cedar mulch that is supposed to keep them away. My grandpa thought a 410 did a real nice job I only had one freind get bit but I think he stepped on it or when he drug up a trap he dragged the snake. But it was night so we don't know. Charles suck it up and go hug a snake Just messing with you. The people I have known that were scared of snakes it was no joke. So if you did not think it was funny, sorry.
