We had a redbone hound jump out of a truck when I was a kid( Daddy never used a box) .Her pelvic was broke and she was a long time getting over it. I remember her being real fast on a track and it slowed her down a little so i think the hunting ability will be good. I think she got bred accidentally and had trouble having the pups,so I wouldn't try breeding her unless you are prepared for the c-section.

My Parker gyp was 4 to 5 months old and got ran over by the ole lady. Took her to vet and he said she would be able to have pups. this happened just last fall and she accidently got bred and is pregnant now. So I will let you know the outcome, which should be within the next couple of weeks. May i ask how your vet treated the break? My gyp had 4 fractures, and he treated it by putting her in tape schackles on her back legs. I was suppose to keepem on for 6 weeks, but I tookem off after 4 due to the way she was getting around. I'm not saying go against your vets advise because all cases are different, just telling you my experience.

i dont remember her having any trouble taking a dump...did the vet tape up her back legs? doing so will keep her legs under her and keep her from running and putting pressure of the breaks/fractures. just envision a prisoner with leg shackles, that is what it reminded me of... just use the "sport tape" that is used for wrapping a athletes ankles and allow enough lenght for her to be able to walk using short strides. id say about 8 to 10 inches of play between the legs. double reverse the tape so there are no sticky areas exposed or touching the fur on her legs. and by the way, my name is Alfred - not shawn... oh, and when you take the tape off the dogs legs will spread out and she'll have a real wide stance, but it will go away after time...

Idk guess well see .this would be the dog this happens to bc I put more time into this dog then any other dogs I've owned in the pass 15 yrs go fig Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

My Parker gyp that had been run over by a car had her litter today, and she did so w/o any issues that i could see. It was her 1st litter and she had 9 pups. the 1st one came around 9AM and the last came around 5pm..
