i read this is thought about the recent topics going on...

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgement to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy that made him their prince. the Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to surive a multitude of idiots such as those who made him there president."

What about the idiots that elected Bush TWICE!! Every president is just a pawn in this country.  Its funny how people blame the presidents about the what going on in this country. We live in the land of the free, when uncle sam bends you over every pay check. Which no president will ever be able to change.  Too many people in to many high place make a lot of money off of our hard work. So i dont think the president has anything to do with what going on today, its much deeper than just putting someone in presidency and they call the shots.

ur right, bush wasnt much better. the only thing he did was keep up the military and since i was in the military at that time, the raises were good. the rest of his 2 elections, he stole more rights than this current person. again, they are ALL crooks. money buys elections, not the commoan man's choice or voice.

I am all about root cause analysis and root cause fixes...and obama truly is a symptom of the cause...whoever wrote this has the ability to see the big picture...that's the kind of folks that need to be in office...

too many of the people today only care about sitcoms, reality shows, sports, and too many want hand outs and free government programs and those are the folks that want to elect that type of president...one that thinks like them...but that is not what is good for our country....

one of the first things in my opinion is to bring the jobs back to america and taxe the heck out of any company that wants to take our business overseas...and then not allow them to sell the merchandise back to us...

only do busines with countries that have the same standards as we have here...

we need to drill for oil and gas and continue to support alternative fuel research and development...

But for the above mentioned root cause...the  fix has to start at home...but it is obvious that that is not working...so it needs to be taught in school...We need to strengthen our foundation...

back to my younger years when i played chess. since you use the president and pawn as an analogy. i have done it and had it done to me. i have been checkmated and have done the same with pawns. a pawn can checkmate or stalemate the game. that being said, that pawn in dc can turn this country into a stagnate sess pool or put us in checkmate, all he needs is some1 to move papers across the board/desk for him to sign. the pres may not can do it all by himself, but he has a big hand in it.

reuben, possibly some of the american people, but grant and benjamin helped get them in office. it does not matter who or how the person got in office, it boils down to thier values and morals. eveidently, they aint got any.

grittydog, its past that now. the moochers out number the working class, they would rather sit at hm, draw welfare, have babbies as fast as hogs do and get a bigger refund every yr.
