Got a pretty decent 8 this evening on our old family place.  I know there's a good buck on this place, because a buddy of mine saw him twice while hunting out there but didn't get a shot on him either time.  This wasn't him, but I just couldn't pass him up with the smokepole in my hand.  I've never taken a really big deer on this place & figured I might as well torch this one while I had the chance.  I'll euro mount him and hang him in my son's room with the others.  The little man's getting quite a collection going.  Anyway... here he is:

I shoot a T/C Omega.  It's amazing.  It's not even one of the fancy models, just the cheap Z5.  That gun will shoot like most folks wouldn't believe possible from a muzzleloader.  I just have a 6X scope on it, and I can shoot groups at 100 yards with 3 shots touching each other.  I shot this buck just behind the left shoulder & it exited the center of the right shoulder.  He went about 20 yards & piled up for me.
