I sure dont need another dog and I really like the 8 dogs that I currently have.  But for some odd reason, I am always wanting another one.  I guess it is because I just like dogs and I enjoy having them.  I am certainly not a "collector", but like a collector, I am always looking for another one that I would like.  Are any of you like this?  I find myself searching the dog trade and looking at postings all the time.  I'm not neccessarily looking to buy; just like looking.  A very good friend of mine called me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would take two of his dogs.  One finished and one well started, I didnt even hesitate.  Technically I now own ten dogs, not 8.

I think its the greener pasture syndrome sometimes.  It never fails when I see a good looking well put together Yeller dog, I always stop and shop.  Cheesy

I'm always looking for a BETTER caliber of dog as a whole.  When I dog shop, I'm looking at the dogs behind the dog as much or more so then the actual dog itself.  I'm constantly looking on the dog trade and other sites and haven't found one that I was or would be satisfied with.  Not saying they aren't better dogs then mine, because they probably are, just not what I'm specifically looking for.  But I'll try any dog  Cheesy

I'm always looking at greener pastures, but remember they got that green because they're fertilized with bull$hit  Wink

I dont think it is greener pastures as much as it is I just like having dogs and I like hunting them.  If I could hunt 20, I would own 20.  Realistically, I can hunt 4-6 dogs plus 2 bulldogs.  If I were to get too many more, I would be leaving dogs at home, and I really like to take all that I have.

Purebreedcolt....yeah my wife probably feels a lot like yours.  But she dont say a thing, hog hunting is the only habbit/addiction I have.
