Thinking about applying for a job in Longview. How are the schools, crime, hog hunting, deer hunting? Also what's 5-10 acres n a small home running? Thanks in advance!!

Longview is a pretty nice area, put your kids in the Pine Tree or Spring Hill school district, alot better that Longview ISD. Homes will be cheaper in Ore City, Diana, Hallsville any of the smaller towns will have less crime and lower cost of living. Hunting is pretty good in the area not a lot of true big deer in this area though. (I'm in Pittsburg)

X2 what JBurns said. I worked over there for years. There is alot of crime in Longview and I think it is because that they have 2 missions there. Lots of drug heads and winos.
One day on Hwy 80 I saw a guy fighting a man----only problem was that there was nobody there. He was tripping on mushrooms and just imagining that he was fighting an opponent. I called the law on him before he hurt himself or somebody else.

Thanks yawl, i am also looking at marshall as well i don't mind a short drive. I won't live in the city got be in the country somewheres. Decisions Decisions....
