Thats cool.  I used colored electrical tape and wrapped it around the collar.  It works great and helps me determine which collar goes with which dog.

at first glance I saw 3 mail boxes... Grin I also use the craft paints that are sold at walmart... they are cheap but last and last...you get about 10 different colors for 2 or 3 bucks...

I didn't think of painting the collars. I went thru all the trouble of putting small zip ties on the antennas. One for collar dog, two for collar one and so on.

I used whiteout and put the numbers on the ends of the plastic has been on there a while and still can see the numbers real well.  Craft paint came off and nothing else seemed to stick vary good. Something else that works real well is the ear tag pens.

I just scratched dogs name on under side of metal, but you can use color shrink tubing on antenna or you can get tuff skin antennas in different colors also.

Maverick, what is the short woven rope/cord attached to your dogs collar??? Obv its an easily accessible spot to grab and pull a dog off with but are there any other purposes??? I've never seen that before, seems like a good idea to me!

We did the whole stencil a number on the plate deal for a while. We have since replaced the cloth collars with color coded vinyl collars..
Green, blue, yellow, pink, orange, red, purple, black, neon... It works alot better now
