Got this bobcat on my trail cam taking a whiz on my oil rub......he comes by here several times a week but this is the first time he ever did this to it........lol Don't know what his problem was, guess he just wanted to mark his territory here. I got a pic of a skunk too for all y'all skunk hunters. He's about as black as they come seems to me.

Ye, he is a good cat. They don't get a lot bigger around here than that. He comes by this spot very often but this is the first pic of him whizzing on the carpet that I have. There's also an old rabbit that stays nearby and spends a lot of his time right in front of the camera, he and the cat never seem to meet though. This spot has, for some reason, become a crossroad for all sorts of critters since I made it. Got a pair of coyote pups that have started hanging around it now. I may have to see about getting rid of them, if I can call 'em in.

When i used to make em I would use old carpet soaked in used motor oil, i would wrap it around a good tree near a wallow and wrap chicken wire around it to hold it in place. The hogs at the old place i used to do this at started using them almost immediately and would hit em just about everytime they hit their wallows, i have 1000's of old trail cam pics on one of my mini broken laptops, if i ever get it fixed ill try to post some pics.

O and its not a food attractant but it helps them remove ticks and other bugs off their hides.

Yes bob, it's carpet soaked in used motor oil or a ny kind of oil you can get. I aquired a roll of carpet some time ago that's as tough as whet leather and makes a perfect oil rub. I nailed it to the tree with roofing nails and saoked it with used motor oil and that was it, they found it right off and seem to never pass nearby without stopping to rub. Here are some of the results:
