Recently, I acquired an old 93 mule from my father in law.  It was the utility vehicle for their deer lease for several years before somebody overheated it.  My uncle in law rebuilt the motor around 5 years ago and it serviced the lease a while longer before the brakes went out and the carb gummed up.  In need of a lot of repair it was dragged back to father in law's house where it sat for several years.  My wife went down and her and my father in law had a conversation about how I build dog boxes for utility vehicles on the side.  Father in law mentioned the mule sitting in his barn taking up space and asked if I would possibly want it.  Wifey said hell yeah (cause she knows me) and bout' a month later we picked it up.  Here's a pic of it on the trailer when I picked it up...

Got it home and started assessing things.  Obviously needed carb, gas tank, and fuel system replaced or cleaned.  Also noticed the front CV axels were missing boots and were completely binding.  Propeller shaft going to the front differential was in desperate need of new U joints and the parking brake cables were seized.  Seeing that there was no brake fluid in the master cylinder, I figured there was a leak somewhere.  Upon further investigation and talking to Uncle Roy  (uncle in law that built the motor), it was determined that someone on the lease had put water in the brake system.  So now, while I remove the bed, roof, and front bumper, I have my daughters having a paint scraping party!  This is what it looks like torn down oh and its red..

Got an order of parts in and got to work!  Replaced the CV's, axels, U joints on the prop shaft, parking brake cables, cleaned the carb, replaced the fuel lines and gas tank, and gave it a fresh battery.  It fired right up!  Still need to fix the brakes.  I replaced the rotted fuel lines and have one wheel cylinder that is leaking.

Planning to build a flat bed, roof, and front/rear bumper.  Also got some two inch lift blocks from my buddy Lloyd.  Should raise the front end bout level.  And this is what I picked up from my brother..

four by ten feet of eighth inch aluminum diamond plate  Tongue  I'll post more as it progresses!
