Well, about 2 weeks ago at work I had a baaad knee pain, dr says it might be a torn meniscus ligament. MRI is Wed, kinda nervous cuz the only surgery I've every had was gettin my wisdom teeth out, lol, and that was YEARS ago. So.........maybe it'll all work out and i just need to take it easy for a while, but i dont know if it should still be hurtin like it is or not at this point  wish me luck!!  |

Man I hope not I got lucky in it was just what hold my patella in place was torn no major ligaments. I'm still in this brace and if you are not already in a brace go get you one even the cheap ones from walfart are better than nothing. If it happens once it can easily happen again if you hyper extended your knee. Me I just started hunting again after 2 months of letting it rest. I seriously feel your pain this rain is making mine hurt lol.

Sounds like you got a tear in ur meniscus to me, I tore my ACL and both sides of the meniscus. Doc told me a severed ligament won't continue to hurt but the meniscus will because its constantly seeing pressure/stress. If your lucky it will just be a small tear still hurts like all h*** but its easy to fix with the technology available.

been there rip my acl in two, mcl and tore my pads the frist time then got all that fix i was non weight breing for 2 mounth that suck just about lost my mind from seting that long, then tore my pads in 2 so they took them out now i have lots of bone chips in there from them rubing together it not much fun .Doc said next time he was going to lock it out thats y i havent been back ,still to many hog that need to be caught for that lol

I had a torn meniscus half way around. Hurt like hell when it happpend. The surgery isnt bad but I was off work for 8 weeks plus rehab. I did all the rehad and leg lifts they asked me to do. Blew it out a year later again cleaning out a round baler. Never got it fixed been broken for about 3 years now. Just hangs up every now and then. Ill tell you this my knee hurt more the year it was fixed then it does now. I have no plans on getting it fixed till i cant walk anymore.

All that great news, i sure am proud to be a possible member of the club! ya, been sitting a few out, ive had 3 places hit me up to run, never had that many in such a little time say "Hey come on out!!" Isn't that Murphy's law?? Probably could sit and do a little bowhunting at least. Ive had several other passed injuries that tell me what the weather is gonna be, including right knee problems. Hoping all turns out well, not looking forward to 8 weeks rehad! yikes. DWHd93: already payin some dues with this  Really havin a hard time with this sitting still and takin it easy, Im not too good at stayin home and havent been takin any pain stuff cuz i know if it "feels better" i will push it too much and F things up more. Too hard headed for my own good sometimes, lol. Thanks for all the support. ya, ive heard some folks dont get it fixed, i guess i'll see what the mri shows>> |

Shoot hate to here that i was in the shatterd ankle club last month hated it all could do was fish got old after a while and gain weight hope ya get back out soon

Been in the club a few times .. never gets better ..lol its one of those clubs you can't help but to hate.. I had surgery on my acl and hunted out of the ranger but couldn't respond or help at all just ride lol.. I was the garmin man for a while lol

yikes, the shattered ankle club sounds like one i may have to pass up, lol. Thought about being the Garmin Gal, decided i probably couldnt stay away from a bay better for me to just not take my muttley crew out for a lil while. We'll c how things go!! |
