Let me first say I mean no offense and if the moderators want to delete this I'm ok with that.
I will first say that I use three hog forums. One I pretty much do nothing but read and do not post. The other is where I post pics of my hunts, hogs, dogs etc. This forum I mainly post just in the general or hog dog section because of one reason and that's because there is a lot more users which means more info, opionions and quicker replies. But anyway the one thing about this forum is that I see so many post about you don't need to post this or that. I believe the mods to a great job on what they let stay or what they let go. So I'm not talking about the mods.  so many users say I wouldn't post that and the thread stays because the mods do not feel it was a big deal. I myself got a post deleted and I was clueless at first but I understand and was not offended. I will say that post didn't not get deleted off another board and maybe it should (someone else posted the same thing)like I said though that does not make me mad here and it will not happen again here.
I agree that hunters can most definately hurt hunters(any game). Like someone posting pics of dead dogs or dogs cut down or talking about transporting. I also understand that there is PETA and hsus members that probably  read this board all the time maybe a bunch maybe very few that we don't know so I understand about being safe on certain issues. I Understand they have deeper pockets than we do. But what do you think will happen. I know hunting with dogs have been banned here or there but do you think it will happen everywhere? I know most people feel well let's not push our luck and find out or I don't want to risk my state. I agree with that. On the other hand it's like if they told us you can't own a gun. I will say 9-10 would say on here they can come get it from my cold dead fingers. I'm kind of like that with my hunting. I will openly say that it would be hard to make me stop. I know more and more PETA or humane society cases are happening everyday with doggers. Some ridiculous and some maybe not so ridiculous. I want our sport preserved just as much as the next guy and I do not want that put in jeopardy for generations to come. But the serious question is what do you think they are capable of nation wide? I have no clue and would like some serious thought. If everyone just said who cares and didn't stay on their toes do you think they could put a stop to all hunting? To states like Texas,Louisiana,Alabama,Mississippi & Georgia? Are they mainly out to get doggers or they out for the few times a year bird hunter? I am not as up to date on them as I should be and would like to get as many opinions and information or facts as I can. Sorry for the long read and thanks!

Money is power in the USA that is pretty evident in sports, politics, hunting or anything thing else.  Eventually it may be banned but I don't think everyone will stop.   Its up to local authorities to enforce laws.

well to quote wayne pacelle  '' we will stop all hunting , one state and one speicies at a time by any meens necessary .'' and his views on all domesticated animals his words were '' one generation and out '' in his effort to do away with all cattle , hogs and poultry raiseing in the U.S OF A  THEY ARE NOT JUST ABOUT HUNTING BUT WANT ABSOLUTELY NO HUMAN ANIMAL INTERACTION . and sadly hunting bans are his easiest target . and it is a must that we do as little as possible to help him achieve his goal . do  [i ] like it NO  but these are the days of our lives . keep yourselves informed and join something and donate to somebody to help the fight . everybody on this board should go to check out and be invoved in the TEXAS LAWS AND BILLS section on this site  BEFORE you go and check out the rest of the board  BEING AWARE  of what's going on is the only way to be informed and help the cause . but i feel i am typeing on blind eyes and deaf ears on this subject hunters are a larger group than the average  citizens but alas we stick our heads in the sand a tell ourselves it won't happen to me  . get busy and do something  anything to help .

the south won most every major battle , but lost the civil war   don't say it wont happen to me , get busy and get involved

This is my views on banning any type of hunting or fishing. They are just that my views.

First in states such as Texas,La.,Miss. etc. if PETA or HSUS goes before the state legislature and says we want you to ban hog hunting
with dogs or deer hunting with dogs or whatever, they (the state legislature) will toss their a$$es to the curb. Why? cause PETA and
HSUS don't vote and don't carry any weight in such states. PETA and HSUS and the likes ARE dangerous to us because they do their job by convincing individuals with no knowledge of the subject that it's wrong and should be banned. They should not be taken lightly.

Here is how hunting with dogs will be banned. If people and groups who DO CARRY WEIGHT , such as land owners, ranchers, game farms,
and our fellow hunters who are against hunting with dogs, start putting heat on our state legislatures to ban hunting with dogs, It's a done
deal, game over. It's that simple. In politics the squeeky wheel gets the grease.

Now, let me give you an example of what we hog doggers will have to do if we want a chance at continuing to hunt with dogs.

Remember the BP oil spill? The La. Wildlife and Fisheries closed the affected areas to all recreational fishing. In the weeks to follow every
environmental,tree-hugging, ex-hippie, save the world SOB descended on Baton Rouge and convinced the La. Wildlife and Fisheries that
ALL coastal waters in the state should be closed to recreational fishing. I'm talking areas hundreds of miles from the affected marshes.
This didn't set to well with the recreational fisherman and they briefly organized and they went to Baton Rouge to meet with the Wild Life & Fisheries and members of the State Legislature. Thousands of sport fisherman showed up not only to protest the closure of the coastal waters but to protest the state and the Wildlife & Fisheries  caving to these environmental groups. They re-opened the areas to fishing only because of the amount of people that showed up to put heat under their a$$es. You see, on this particular day the recreational fishermen were united . They out numbered any other groups on the issue. They carried the political weight that day.
They were the squeeky wheel that day and they got the grease.  It also boils down to perception. How is hunting with dogs perceived by the general public. It is going to be an uphill battle for us because we will never out number the fellow hunters who are against hunting with dogs. We can work on perception though.
