Just ordered the Defender Terrier vest for my husband's Patterdale, and the Terrier cut collar for one of my Patterdales from Wild Boar USA. Shipped out today, (I love their customer service!) Very much looking forward to trying 'em out! Anyone else here that runs terriers have any photos of their dogs in gear? I'd love to see!

Justin you've got all these young dogs to start working and no time for tge old ones.  You could always send smoke or spoon up this way.  I'd feed em for a while... Grin

Where from Justin ?

they come from the same line as the last two I had and unfortunentally sold. Creekmore blood out of wells Texas, bayncatch kennels I believe is their kennel name. The better of the two that I previously purchased from them was flat out dynamite in the woods, He was smoking smaller pigs (60lbs or less) in thickets where my bidder currs couldn't keep up. He was making quite a dog at a VERY early age. Hopin these 3 turn out the same. 1 already stands out above the rest, got high hopes for all 3. they will start hunting in march and I've got the perfect property to start em on.

yes mam I'll get some pics up in the next couple days. I am probably goin to buy a couple more pups when I find some with the right back ground. I built 5 off the ground kennels a while back to get my currs some better accommodations but they all hated em and were going stir crazy so I moved them back to chains and they all settled back down. I figured that since I have the space now and kennels already built I may as well fill em up lol. Ever since I owned the last two i knew that I wanted more and the time was right when Mr.s Creekmore sent me an email saying she had 3 for sale so I jumped on em.......

them old ones will die in 1 of 2 places....... on my yard or in the woods.......you of all people know this!!!! If I remember correctly someone told me that they found a line that they liked better anyway, think his name rhymed with bosh smoknee Evil Grin Grin Grin Grin

In all seriousness tho, I am going to start the 3 pups out of smoke this december or whenever I get off this insanely slow moving shutdown, which ever happens first.........at this rate I will be off by next christmas!!!!! Im hoping that all 3 make dogs but realisticly I guessing 1, maybe 2 will make the grade, so I will cut back accordingly and odds are the same will happen with the jagds. got high hopes for this next year, should be fun!

sorry for the 3 seperate posts to respond, haven't figured out the multiple quote thing yet

Looks good, thats a nice lookin patterdale also.....looks like a Brian Nuttle head on a Ken Gould body...the vest looks like it shoulx be very effective as i have found with my little dogs, they almost  always take a cut in neck or just behind the shoulder

Yessir he is very ready. He LOVES him some bacon, lol. Yeah I've been ordering misc. supplies from Uglydog, but this is our first vest from them. I will definately keep y'all posted on how it withstands a whoopin. I have a good feeling about it. He'll be the guinea pig, lol

Good question. We took him for a good long walk in it today. For the first couple minutes, his gait was a little off, but soon as he started paying mind to nature around us, he was paying no mind to that vest, and in full speed ahead mode, as always! Didn't appear to slow him down one bit, he was all over the place as usual. The fitting is very proper, and not constricting from what we can see. No rubbing anywhere that we could see either. We'll have a better idea out in the field, but those are our observations thus far.

Be careful for holes... I used to run my jagds in vest then one got hung up real bad on some roots in a creek bank and another hung up when backing out of a yote hole... I only use them occasionaly now when I know we are on big hog area or in pen... BTW mine are uglydog/wbusa !

Very appropriate caution.....they don't call them varmint dogs for nothing.

I hear ya! I will heed that advice. We usually only use the Patts in an area where we KNOW we're gonna get on some hogs without a doubt, because these guys will go after nutria, etc.....and get into some of the craziest places, lol.
