A map of east tx, a computer with google search n see whats legal and where. Some of the NF land is typeII so you have to look at that along with legal game n times to hunt

Just found an answer to my question... I live in nacogdoches and not far from anglina national forest.. I just got off the phone with them and the lady said you can run hog dogs year around you just need to have proof of rabies shots for your dogs and your annual public land permit... And you have to wear hunter orange in the day time... Hope to see some of yall in the area hunting out there before long... Good luck

A kevlar vest, even catIII vests for humans wont stop a high powered rifle ball. If the bullet didnt penetrate, the shock from the bullets energy will kill the dog

You have to have at least 400 square inches of hunter orange on to hunt the Forrest rangers are pretty strict on the rabies thing with the dog do be sure to have that and I still wouldn't dare turn a dog out in there during deer season due to the fact that some of those guys that hunt the national Forrest would shoot you and your dog with no questions

I didnt know public land ment public if your from that area, but if ur an outsider, it means private, stay out. If we pay for the permits to hunt the land, god have mersey on those that take pop shots at me or my dogs. I guess i need to bring a couple spare body bags incase they dont hav 1 of their own.
