Pete you know any trappers around the Knox/Foard county area in North Texas?  Need some help on the coyotes on a ranch that adjoins the Wagonner.

Nice work~ A pitter patter would of saved you a dig lol I had a Jack Russell X Pit breeding and sold pups to working homes. One of the fellas that got a pup sends her in coyote dens and he says she draws them out. I havent witnessed but he sends pictures all the time.

I would not of sold those pups out of those sorry sheep killin pair for amillon dollars they almost put the rancher out of businiss and me out of a job they were killing on ranches up to 3 miles from the den i searched ever foot of those ranches , one night they got lazy and killed in the ranch they were dening in and that put them in the dirt , i did a little jig you cant imagine the pressure these guys can put on you when you are working them as hard as you can every day and they are still geting ate up. Any body who thinks they are dumb and easy to catch can come with me get on some stock killers and i will show them one of the smartest animals on earth.

Yes, very smart animals! Something I find fascinating is that they're the only animal that will fake a "friendship" with another dog and when it gets the other dog to the pact they'll all kill the new comer.

That's a whole different kind of coyote!!! One that actually hunts and kills stock regularly! Now granite they all kill when they can but most scavenge!!! I am guessing you put a lot of steel in the ground. From the way I understand it them killers are harder to hunt cause they don't pull guns as well! I imagine your country from mine is crazy different!

When i sign up a place the first thing i do is walk every inch , and i work country that would make the man from snowy river crap his pants.  Rember they will have atleast 2 a primary and secondary and move pups back and fourth from fleas or human pressure, and be within 200 yds from a water sorce because they need it to wean pups and to not be to far from pups when she drinks if your entrested i will tell you how they set up to gaurd the pups and how we locate, aproach them, and the order we work them, there will always be at least 3 there the the alpha lactating bitch, her sibling sister some times two and up windaround 100 yds up wind the alpha male. They will den in the places you least expect.
