On a three Wheeler does it matter what the front tire is. Like tread pattern or tread depth? And does anyone have one they'd possibly would like to get rid of running or not?

Yup there's a ton of videos on YouTube with people hurting themselves on them. I don't plan on doing anything stupid just kind of putting around in the mud.

cheston, you don't need to worry about what type of tire you put on the front, I rebuilt one a couple years ago, pretty much for the hell of it and I simply went to NTB and told em what size tire I needed and they found one, I put a basic turf tire on the front, I think it cost me like 60-70 dollars out the door. I want to say that the tire they sold me was actually a back tire for a mid sized lawn tractor, I'll see if I can find a pic of it on my phone so you can see what I'm talkin about. Be careful on that thing, we had a lease member die on one less that a year ago, he left behind not 1 but 2 young children, sad deal. Like Mr. Whitten stated, they don't make em anymore for a reason. good luck and be careful

The only part about the front tire that matters is depth of lug. If the lug is to deep it will be harder to turn Handel bars when stopped. Also when moving if it gets to much traction it could cause u to roll if u turn sharp at higher speeds. I would opt for a less aggressive front tire so if needed it would push instead of instant grip. By adjusting weight and lean u can always make the rear come around if needed. In all honesty of I could find a 4 wheeler even if a few dollars more that's what I would get. A 300 fourtrax or even an older 250 2x4 with good tires on the back will go almost anywhere the better 3 wheelers will and be safer.

You can find em real cheap if you look enough. I agree 100% on the fourtrax 300 4x4....barnone it is the best fourwheeler ever made. They are indestructable. We currently own and hunt on 2.

If he was willing to buy a 3wheeler if he can find a 2x4 fourtrax he will be happier. The only 3wheeler that came remotely close was the original big reds.
