My Australian shepherd got breed by the neighbors pit and she gave birth this morning and so far only one pup. Is that normal to only have one or two pups? I've never had to deal with newborn pups Befor I just wanna make sure this pup makes it. So what's the ins and outs of dealing with newborns? Any info will help

Thanks

let mother take care of it , most mothers do fine just keep them in a warm place and do not use shavings for bedding

If you leave her alone she will probably finish her business mother dogs don't like to be bothered while they're trying to have pups! Congrats!!

Thanks it was an accidental breeding but hell I might as well try one or two. The mom is a badass cowdog so maybe they will will be decent. She had 6 total.
