Was thinking Marlin, but too pricey. Looking for a cheap one, even single shot would suffice. Don't want it pretty and perfect. Any out there?

That's what I've decided on, I really like the looks of the stainless 24 inch barrel with the laminate thumbhole stock.

Yeah they look very nice. The one that I have always really wanted but never be able to get is the Buffalo Classic. I just saw the 45 LC that looks similar to the BC and I like that one too. http://www.hr1871.com/Firearms/Rifles/buffalo.aspx

That is a nice one. Got mine friday afternoon. Had Gander Mountain hang a Tasco Pronghorn on it before I left there. 85 yard head shot with a 405 gr. bullet and no expansion. Getting some 300 gr. hollow point next.
