I wouldnt take ANY price for some of my dogs...i mean that too.

Their still pups and to me I dont think they've had enough time to adjust. I had a 4 year old bear dog on trial that I hunted 8-10 times before he showed me a bear up a tree. But was nailing them after that. I was getting pretty upset nut that guy kept telling me how good he was.
And 550 ain't a bad price for two 9 month old pups. I drove all the way to northern va and payed 600 for an 8 month old.
They may work and they may not, give them time, hunt them hard.
