Finally got permission to hunt 1200 acres right behind my house from the new owners. Went out last night and dropped my 2 dogs Bella and Doc at my back fence. Probably about 5 minutes later I hear bella bay, then the hog broke, well that went on over and over for about 20 minutes she would bay, then break over and over again. They finally came back and I drove to another spot. SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN!!!!

After about 2 hours of that the dogs were tired and i decided to head to house, I had Doc with me next to the truck and I hear Bella bay to my left which is on an orange grove that i dont have permission to hunt. I didnt have time to grab Doc and then i heard him swimming the canal(which is about 30 feet across and full of gators). Then i hear to hog squealing and i know its caught so i had to go and get the dogs. There is no crossing into the grove so I had to swim the canal. Finally got to em about 300 yards in and it was a sow about 180 pounds. And i thought i could finally go home, i thought wrong....

I see a helicopter circling over me and about 10 minutes later i see headlights haulin a** towards me and it was a game warden. He comes up to me and starts givin me a hard time and i keep telling him a have permission to be out there, but he doesnt believe me. I try calling the owners and cant get a hold of them, i probably called them about 10 times and the guy finally answered and he has to come out there and talk to the game warden at 12 at night. I have to say nothing went right at all.

Man, that sounds like a bad night for sure Grin  Could've been worse I guess... make sure to get a signed release from the property owner next time, that is, IF he's not too pissed for dragging him out that late! Grin    I carry one in the glove box for just that reason....
