I have three terriers 2 patterdales and a jagd. I never hunt just terriers, I always have atleast two curs with them. My question to you terrier men is how do you keep your little brush busters from being picked off by predators.? Maybe it's just my area but one cur by itself vs 2-3 coyote usually isn't going to come out ontop in my parts unless it's old yeller or one badass cur. That's why I have dogs that hunt with eachother how does it workout for y'all?

honest to God, I would bet good money on the patts and jagd against 3 coyotes.........I feel sorry for the yotes, I don't know about yours but the Jagds I have owned and currently own are some of the roughest little devils ive ever seen. I wouldn't worry to much about em, have ya'll had your currs attacked by coyotes before? I have had coyotes show up at a bay before a few times, hell in 2009 I was hunting in Labelle with a good buddy of mine and we turned 3 dogs in to a small thicket and had 5 dogs baying, got in there and 2 coyotes were helping our currs catch the hog, they never got more than 15' away from us when we killed the hog.....I gutted it on the spot and left em a prize, they were smaller maybe 30-35lbs a piece but never once even acted like they were gonna attack us or our dogs, it was pretty durn cool.

Haha that's awesome! My jagd is still a pup so I haven't turned him out a lot yet just mock hunts. But yes the size of some of the packs around my area have killed a bunch of dogs. Two of my neighbors have lost dogs. I almost lost my strike until i turned the pits lose.  Grin that was a game changer.... I've also lost a calf and my duck dog pup. I hate those coyotes. Anyways I've bayed up a group of coyotes but never had one help bay. Sounds neat! My buddy's gyp was in heat one day and he didn't know it and one of those suckers stuck his dog?! I'm not gonna lie, those pups had some intense prey drive. Would've liked to had one but never had enough room for another pup at the time.
