Was that a boar or barr?  Looks like a marked ear and he sure looks heavy?  They are super tuff!!

I caught a big boar last year after deer season with a rage broad head with about three inches of arrow brok of in his front shoulder I've caught a couple of hogs that had buck shot in them  even caught a couple that had been snared and got out still had the snare on their necks

He was a boar. I have a RCD that had gotten on this hog like five days earlier and that's probably s lot of the ear marks. But I also think that a lot of the ear looked about the same age as the bullet wound so I assume a catch dog was likely battleing him when he was shot previously.
My RCD got to hot and quit him on the previous encounter and good thing he did cause he was wobly for close to s hour or more later.
