We have had a very WET month and hunting has been slow. You need a buggy to get anywhere or else your walking ALOT. We have still managed to cut and tie a few. I cannot wait for it to dry up and cool off a little. We mark and release everything except for an occasional barr for the grill  Grin

Boar now a barr

Nice Barr my Junior dog caught

Boar that will make a nice barr

Nice colored sow Junior caught and relayed off 2 shoats

Black boar

He left feeling a little lighter in the rear

Same boar as above, great color

Another one for Maverick

300lb club/ Barr hog

Blonde boar we did not cut just released

Boar that Flea dog bayed

Little boar in the pasture

Sow that I have caught and marked twice now

I think we have talked before Ryan. I hunt near Palmdale, Lake Placid and Labelle. I use to hunt with Brandon Gorsuch when he lived in Tallahassee and a few of those Buckingham/Ft Myers boys. We damn sure have had ALOT of rain. Gators all over the pastures and roads.

Yes I hunt Mizzel and Silver Lakes, Rainey Slough, Glades County and some Orange groves around Lake Placid and Palmdale. A few buddies hunt the Rez. My mark is a circle hole in the ear. We have prob cut and marked over 200 just this year and another 100 last year. Boars, and sows. I have caught a ton of barrs but I dont mark them if someone else has already marked them.

Where do you hunt? Are you around that area?

HAHAHA ya ole doo doo! I havent hunted with him in a couple years but we use to keep the managment areas in N FL busy. I honestly thought my group (2-3 guys) I hunt with all the time were the only ppl doing the circle hole. I guess I might need to switch it up. We were putting tags in there ears but got kind of lazy. Everyone I know notches there left or right ear.

Rainey Slough is nice. It gets hunted a little harder then most Lykes leases but theres some sure enuff studs running around out there. I hunted it 5 times this last year and never caught less then 8 each trip. Nothing huge but still fun.

hahaha I know thats right! gotta love those pines. They damn sure hold some hogs. Silver Lakes has evern more pines and thats hard to believe. My place has a few 1000 acres of pines but alot of pasture, palmetto heads and sloughs.
