Met Kevin N and his wife Theresa in Cleburne TX to come hunt his place south of town. It was close to 10 pm when we settled down in the first pasture. Kevin brought Jasper, Preacher and CD Emmit. We took along Spot, Creeksus and CD Bullseye. We had jus finished walking the first pasture and started though the gate to the next when our four dogs took off. We heard spot bark, followed by couple other barks , then some grunting noise, and cows running. Couldnt really tell if the dogs ran a pig into the cows or if there was pigs with the cows, not real clear what happen there. We gathered back up and re hunted the brush line, for a brief moment spot decided pepie la pue was something she needed, after she aquired that nice smell we decided to load up the dogs and hit a hay pasture Kevin said the pigs had been hitting pretty hard. As we moved down the road Kevin was running the spot light over the pastures, and located a small sounder of pigs (10-15) in the hay pasture. It was the first time for us to jus dump dogs on pigs like that. All dogs hit the ground running, the pig hauled a--, but Creeksus and Spot managed to stop this little boar in the hay.

Jasper and Preacher ran though the fence and had their own hog caught in the next pasture, a pretty spotted one.

We stuck both pigs and got the dogs to roll out, Jasper and Spot left town chasing that group over a mile before we lost communication on the GPS. We headed toward last known location and found the dogs down close to a creek. Kevin knows his place well and how the pigs move across it, so we loaded back up to head in towards another pasture across the creek. As we drove down the road theresa said look at Jasper and preacher they are winding something, chance spot lighted the pasture and there they was.. So once again we dropped dogs. The dogs ran up the road and cut back toward the pigs, but there was a tight stringed fence and only spot squeezed though. By the time we got the truck in the fence our bigger dogs had come back to get in.. Spot had the group and was barking , the other dogs got there and the pigs broke, but they cut this little sow and ran her right towards us. We released the CD and it was a done deal.

Overall it was fun hunting with such good people, but a little frustrated at our spot dog still and her trash moment.
