I am thinking about gettin a jagd or two to use hog huntin I have heard good things and bad things what is y'all's opinion?

I've HEARD they don't mix with other dogs..... That you can't pack them up with curs or what not. If you run a jaghd it's usually gonna be a male and female and that's it.

Sounds like bad breeding.. because jagds are pack dog Any dog can be ran with them ..  They keep up with the best an there's no stop botton for the drive! Other then that jagds are very fast learners an smart ..    So hunt them alot that will keep them in check...

The one we have here is fine with other dogs if she's working, but she can't be penned up or boxed with another dog. She's all hunt too.

My first two littermate males were the same way, they were fine with any dogs in the woods but Lord help us if one got out at the house, they don't fight to fight, they fight to kill. They have a crazy high prey drive and are very very high energy dogs, I personally loved my first two but they required alot more tending to around the house than my currs.

Yea I remember you telling me about this and ended up steering me away from buying one. Seems this is pretty consistent with all jagd owners I ve read posts on
