For us the 1 st opens our hog dogging season,ive been like a kid running around getting our gear together everthing is in order,just load dogs before daylite,and at day break we will be in the woods trying find a pig.wish all a happy new year and good hunting!

Same way in South Louisiana, but I have to  wait until the middle of the month.
