Went back to my setup in the river bottom. It has rained for over 2 days and the bottom was flooded. Had a few hours to hunt and the area is good so I sat back to see what would happen.
Sat for about a hour when I hear something walking towards me through the water. I see 2 nice, big sows! One leading is all black, and the one following is a tan one and is limping alittle bit. Watch them as they slowly head my way, they bogger up on the other side of some tall, thick bushes. The black sow decides to head away from me so I look for my next shooting lane. It is straight out in front of me and the sows will walk in front of a big oak tree that I ranged earlier at 30yds. I am going to shoot the tan one with the limp because she looks alittle bigger! I let the black sow walk out first and then the tan one follows her. She steps out I bracket her between my 20-30yds pins and shoot her right behind her right shoulder!! See the arrow completly pass through and hear the ribs breaking when the arrow passes through her. She spins around and bolts..
I sat for about 20min and then went to my arroww that was sticking in the ground. Good red blood! Start following the blood trail, but the river bottom is real wet/flooded. Follow the trail for about 80yds and I am having a hard time finding the blood in the wet conditions. Leave when it is too dark to search any more. I will go back and see if she went into the river or skirted it. Lost the trai leading to the river!! Oh well, thats bow hunting big hogs in the swamp, recover most, but lose a few. Hopefully I will find her tomorrow. I know she is dead somewhere out there, just a matter of finding the right trail in the swamp she followed!
