Don't have web design skills but I've heard nothing but good things about squarespace.com. They have tons of templates. Free to design site and register domain, if you like what you create then I think you pay. Apparently it's made for average computer user. No coding/scripting or other nonsense. Can even link to sell items.
Personal is $8 per month/Professional $12/and Business is $24
