Me and my wife are thinking about goin to bay pen but we dnt know anything about them or if there are some near me so if any one can help me out to learn more about it

Where abouts are you located? I know there is one in star city, arkansas that is held every 3rd saturday of the month. I went to ut, it was my first event to ever be at. Great people, good hogs, and a nice pen!

I ain't no pro. Heck I don't even make a good newbie to it. Main thing is in there face baying like the devil but don't catch. Eyes focused solely on the hog. If it tries to run they need to try to stop it fast. If the dogs takes its eyes off the pig u lose point. If it catches over 5 sec u are DQ'ed. If it lets the hog run to far u lose point. If ur dog bays to far back u lose point.
If u do like me and run for fun it can be a blast. If u got good dogs u can win some cash. I can't help with where one is near u.

Check the bay pen section on the forum it will tell you where all the bayings are at and that should help you find the closest one to you

Village mills is once every four months. The next one is Memorial Day weekend.
