Doctor that i work with has a nice place over near the Tenn-Tombigbee, only 250 acres or so but permission on each side to run em. He tells me he has some hogs coming through, would i want to turn some dogs out on em, ,, OH YEA!! Got my buddy Steve, his daughter Heather and her boyfriend. Tyler.  Steve brings his two uglydogs and a nice pit cd , and a pit - uglydog cross pup. I bring my cat and my lil male Jagd. Meet up around 8 this morning and i'm about nervous as a cat in the dog pound. I want the dogs to show good and hopefully good enough to get another invite!. Wasnt looking good for the first 2 hrs, dogs wanted to run and just stretch their legs it seemed. In fact, the West Alabama cross country team runs through the area we were hunting, on the main dirt road, and a coupla of the dogs escorted em for a mile or 2.
We got em all gathered up and went as far east as we could and dumped again into a wind coming out of the west. Steve's 2 ugly dogs struck, my jagd went right to em with the catchdog, sow made it out to the road, then slammed! Caught hog. Ol Doc was impressed and was looking for a tree to climb when she came out of the pine saplings onto the road right on us!
We made one more short pass, then grilled deer sausage, hamburgers and had a few cold ones ,, nice way to finish off a good lil hunt.
I forgot, after we put our hands on the pig, Steve's uglydogs were onto the others that left out, made a big 3 mile loop and we called em back, hog was heading to forbidden property, thats when we made the last lil run.
Good day in the woods with friends
