I have a bunch of dc-30 collars, 1 of em started doing funny when hooked to a charger(ac). Instead of a constant blue lite, as you would slide the charger into the groove on the collar, the blue lite would flash, but remain off. U could move the charger connection back and forth in the collar groove, and the lite would blink every time it passed over the "sweet spot", but would not stay on. Then another collar did the same thung. Tried each collar on every charger, same thing. So i turned both collars on and let them sit, figured i'd let them fully discharge and see wat happened. 2 days later , turned them on, while they were turned on, i plugged them into the charger and both blue charger lights stayed on, while the intermittant red lights blinked, signifying each collar was in fact, turned on. I turned both collars off, and the blue charge light remained on, so i'm hoping that something i did remedied the situation. Anybody else have any similiar experiences with their dc-30's?

No but it sounded like a bad connection. Even when mine are fully charged I can plug em back up and the light will still stay on solid a few mins

I thought the same thing, i tried the two bad collars on 4 different ac chargers, didnt work on any of them, but the chargers worked on my other 6 collars. I was thinking maybe they just needed to have their charge run down and maybe it'd be like unplugging and resetting your modem or satellite dish. Whatever, they seem to be charging now, will sync them to handheld tonight and see if they are 100% charged. My next step was to try to update them, then if that didnt work , send them in to garmin

I use a stiff plastic bristled brush to clean the charging terminals when mine would do that. The brush I used came in a car cleaning kit.

I have and like said ill use a tooth brush to clean , a small knife to clean the groves out , turn collar on then off , this will normally get it worked out , I have 6 dc 30s , and they will give me problems from time to time but never have been permanent

I have a lil brass toothbrush size deal. Its weird, cause once the collar had been left on til battery was mostly discharged , and i turned collars on, then they started charging immediately when i slid charger into place.
Didnt do anything to the terminals , cuz they were clean.
