Does anyone hunt anywhere around these areas? I work on a rig that just recently moved over to that area from Jewett Tx. I used to take my dogs and hunt over there, because I could leave them at my mom and dads. Now I dont get to hunt my dogs to much because my week off I spend time with my wife and kids. I was just wondering if someone hunted that area, if they wouldnt mind if an extra pearson tagged along. Atleast I would be getting to hunt.

I'm hunting in San Augustine Saturday night, maybe. My grandma called yesterday and is getting her pasture rooted pretty bad. It's a 3 hr drive for me to get there.  I wouldn't be able to invite you along on the hunt behind my grandmas house, sorry. I know there's alot hunters around there so maybe you can land a hunt with someone from the area who has access to large places. It's funny you mentioned both San Augustine and Center because my grandmas place is on 147 just outside of Shelbyville. If I could get permisson to some larger places then I might be in a position to invite you along.

Lewis Ross lives in that area and used to be a hard hunter. He will know every hunter in the area, most likely.

Our rig is on 147. I know there are some good hogs there. Just down the road a few miles I saw where some hogs messed up 2 yards. They are deep ruts to, so they must have some size on them. I live an hour and half from there. I thought about talking to some land owners around there, but I dont know how they would take it since I dont live there and they know nothing about me.

Around here where I hunt, if the land owner dosent know you personally, good luck trying to hunt the place. There are to many people that just go on the place and take game cameras, feeders, stands, and anything else they think they want. there is alot of national forest around here. They feel that it is the hog hunters that do this stuff so, they wont let anyone hunt
