pour on wormer for cattle

Whats the best pour on wormer for cattle? Where to buy it? Also any other tips to take care of them I got 5 hefers 500-800#  thanks

Ivomec or cydectin is what we use. Its at about any coop or tractor supply.

We run close to 7k head a year through our barn back grounding them I've seen just about all of it, just remember you get what you pay for, if it were me and I had a facility to work them I would throw the pour on out and get some injectable but if pour on is all you can manage then I would get the cydectin before I would the ivomectin.

I use Ivomec Plus injectable.     I've used the pour on occasionally, but doesn't seem to work as well.

I use pour on in the summer because it helps with ticks..lice  etc,but go with an injectable in the cold weather...Ivermectin injectable is good but if you wanna hit liver fluke as well you will need the ivermectin plus. Get a bottle of basic 6 way or 7 way that will cover them for lepto,respitory problems etc and in the late spring/summer you can use the 7 way that also includes pinkeye prevention. The most important thing for cattle of any age or size is mineral....keep a bag of mineral accessable to them always...mineral deficiency is the biggest culprit for cattle going backwards.
