Breaking off deer

Has anybody heard of anyone using a deer decoy with deer scent to help with trash breaking?

   it would work I guess a visual of sorts to associate with the smell .  I would break my beagles just using the scent that I had laid out with a drag .  I knew where the trail was lain and if the dogs struck on top of it I would correct them by heading them off and doing it manually   lol   we didn't have shocking systems but by knowing where they would cross a trail it was easy to head them off . it worked out well and I still use the method today on my hounds , but I shock them when I know they are running the deer track .
