I was wondering if anyone knew wether r not you could be issued a ticket for your dogs getting off of the land that you have permission to hunt. Even if you do not follow them and wait for them to come back. Or if they follow the game onto to neighboring ground and catch it. I realize I can't follow them but what about the dogs are they an extension of you or what.

I think there is something in the new 2014/15 hunting book about dogs crossing property lines and the owner/hunter of the dogs can be charged with trespassing. I also think i was warned by the local possum sheriff during a conversation with him.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

Best thing to is contact your local warden office and ask them and have them show you or give you the page # in the hunting regulation pamplet instead of taking the word of someone on here. It would also be best to get written permission of the surrounding land owners IF there is a chance your dogs getting over there and getting in trouble from the land owner.

m-f might be a better time to call or call the sheriff dept and see if they will have the warden call you if you wanna make a run before the local office opens. Have you looked in the hunting pamphlet or went online to see if it's in general rules and regs?

I have heard that you can be fined for each dog since they are agents working for you.

After seeing this post I asked the Game Warden I work with and he said as of yet he has not heard of any thing like this being passed or becoming law.
