I thought I'd share my trip to Wellston Oklahoma.

I took the wife and my little female Sally up to Oklahoma yesterday to meet up with Gary and his family. It took us a little over 5 hours to get there and man was it a great visit. I got to see Jack and little ramrod. Boy are they lookers. Little Ramrod has really matured good and is making Gary a super nice coon dog. I really loves his dark brindle color. Jack, well now Jack is something I must say. He reminds me of my Jack here, but he has a little bigger head, a little longer hair and more of a flag tail and oh yeah he's leopard spotted. We let jack cover Sally and talked awhile about hunting and how Gary's been doing. He hopes to make a couple upcoming hunts. He really loves that big blue merle dog and thinks Jack can go a long way.

                    GARY AND JACK
Gary is having problems with one of his hands. He fell a little back and it's been bothering him since. He was going to run up to the hospital in a little bit and have them look at it. Gary keep me posted on that. Let me know if we can do anything to help.. We continued to talk and walk around for a little longer. I got to see Hoss, his Meeks bred  leopard, his little mountain cur squirrel dog and some of his clients dogs. We had a great time and a great visit. If Sally took we should have some really super nice pups. We're really looking forward to this cross. I also brought up a buyers guide for Gary and a Cross I made for Jana, Gary's wife, to hang on her rear view mirror.  We said our goodbyes and loaded Sally up. We had to make one more stop. We had another 40 minute drive  up north to Guthrie Oklahoma. There is a foster home there that Jill's grandmother and great aunt was in when they were real little. The old place had been bought by a rich man and he has restored nearly ever bit of it.  Man it really looked good. They have weddings and other kind of stuff there now.  We had left the house at 7 am and made it home a little after 9 pm. All in all a great time. Next time we'll spend the night up there and Gary and I will  try to run a coon.

Gary is also make'n some crosses for the local hog doggers. Adding his Leopard blood to some of their stock.  He has made several crosses and heard some pretty good feedback on his crosses on hogs.  His son has now take'n up the sport and Gary is having a blast chase'n wild bacon... If anyone is interested in pups from Gary then I'll  let Gary know. I'll try to post pics of his next litter.

Mike

I'm wanting to go back to the cur style with as little jug as possible  . not that I don't like jug I just want the cur traits .
