I got some of my main dogs down, so I loaded up some young dogs to fill there shoes today and was not disappointed. Clyde our 1yr old walker hound Took a sent and took off , spot was little behind when Clyde opened up to a ball, spot confirmed with her yipping and the race was on. Today was his first strike and his first time not to open up till he was on the pig. Two huge hurtles that I actually thought we would not cross, but chance had faith in this pup and kept dragging him along.
At 300 yards we here a quick bay, but it soon broke and the dogs where on the run. Now 680 yards out we start to head thier way, and discovered multiple tracks crossing the road. We new the dogs had split up running different pigs. Slowly the dogs fell off and returned back to us reach ranging 1 1/2 miles. Clyde was a little slow gettin back. We waited a few desided which direction would be best to go and headed out. It was at this time clyde ran off again toward a creek, spot and Tank helped line him out and we heard them open up 325 yards out. Tank, Yella, Clyde, and spot held strong , we started in with Chico and Hum-V
Got 29 yards out and released our catch dogs. This was Hum-V second pig ever to catch so I was little worried, but both dogs nailed that pig and it was done. Only weighted 200 but a nice one...
