I know that somebody on here has the perfect set up for disposing poop on a concrete floor pen. I have the catcher in the back (pipe cut in half) but don't know what to do about where it goes. Do yall have a simple septic system set up, or just a hole you wash it into? I have 8 dogs and have to figure out some way to dispose of all this crap...other than shoveling every day.

I am thinking of checking out a septic system for my dogs and will check into different setups so I am interested on what others are doing as well...
right now I shovel poop every day and I keep a five gallon can with a lid by the kennels...I use the kitchen type trash bags as liners...the trash man comes by on Mondays and Thursdays so that is when I dump the bags...works out great but I would rather dump in a sewer every day....twice a week works well for me on account the 5 gallon bucket only gets about 2/3's full each time...
a friend of mine washers all the poop in the city sewer without any sewer problems...

Get 2 55gal drums and dig a hole and leave the tops exposed for maintenance. Use the first drum to hold the solids, connect the 1st n 2nd drum with a 1' pc of 6" pvc. The 2nd will catch and hold the liquid. Put a submersable pump in the liquid barrel with a 1-2" line to pump the liquid out to wherever you wanna pump it to.

Where my pens are There is a drop off about 40 feet behind my pens so I dug a hole 10 feet deep and 6 feet wide and 10 feet long about 10 feet from my kennels put a 8 in pipe going from dog pens to hole then I put a 4 in line 3 feet under ground and ran it to the drop off for the water to drain and the solid stays in the hole

I have a trough in the back of my pens graded to the center where there is a pipe that goes into a field line that runs out into the pasture

I did like Charles said,, bury a drum with a screw on lid and connect it to ur pipe behind the pens. Put a sump pump in the barrel and run a 2 inch line into your house septic tank and when the pump kicks on in the drum it will pump the liquid to the house septic tank. About 1 time a week , bust up the solids in the drum that's buried and it will turn into water so the pump can keep on pumping it out. Hope that helps,, that's how I have mine.

you can use the plastic drums just like a septic tank , we used one for the restroom in an old barn and instead of using a pump we just ran some lateral lines off of it like a normal septic leach field . never had any trouble out of it and the grass was all ways greener of course lol
