Have been off ETHD for a bit. New ranch job has kept me pretty busy this last year. Have been hunting a bit and raising some pups. Made a hunt Saturday in one of my favorite pastures, just moved our fall calvers out of here so it open season on the swine. Carried Curly to catch, Griz and Coon my finished dogs, Chilli who I am just now switching from cattle to hogs and a young brindle female out of my line that was just started late last spring. We caught three and had some great races. Dog work was excellent and made for a wonderful day. Happy new year to y'all. Thanks, Paul T Curly acting like the Boss It was cold so of course we caught one in a tank. Love hunting this pasture.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

How is Curly's temperament Paul? I'm wondering if he is as laid back as his daddy till he sees a hog?

Laid back as he can be, a real clown around the house. But you put his gear on and he gets that 1,000 yard stare and is all business. He is a pure pleasure to hunt, as good of a holding dog as I have hunted and you better bring the break stick.

Another Bringing back to the Top for Ryan TBH, Here is a cross of "UDR Cotton" who was one of the first litter of My cross between UDR Captain Morgan/UDR Lucy Lou , that litter produced Cotton, Zeus, and a few others, Smoochy, Jonah, Zena aka Zee,Blue, Bullet, was 2nd litter, Lucy Produced a Third litter bred to the Australian Boar dog named Rip belonging to Bloom Brothers, producing only two pups, Beetle and Hornet, Cody Weiser has Hornet, and Beetle is owned by Lance Falzone, those are some large muscle machines with a lot of speed, very hard dogs not same disposition, and are black with white trim. I believe this Stag cross Paul has may have Cottons sweet disposition, I don't know him personaly but have heard good things, I think if You are looking at Out crosses You must look at all this to see what You may get. and then look at what You have inside Your tight, tight line You already have too.

When i saw/hunted with curly he was a genetic specimen. I loved that dog. His disposition and handle were 2nd to none.
